We are always looking to welcome voulunteers to our friendly family at Stogumber Station. If you have some free time and would like to do something really rewarding then do consider joining us as a volunteer.

You don't need to have an interest in railways although this is always useful. If you enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, like to have a friendly chat and have a sunny and cheerful smile on hand for everyone you meet, then we would welcome you with open arms.

If you have been to our station you will know that all the staff are very friendly and approachable, and we really ARE one big happy family. 

Stogumber Station is run by volunteers who run the station, issue tickets, serve food and ensure the safe travel of passengers on and off the trains.  There are many ways in which you can get involved and we are always looking for new helpers.
To qualify as a volunteer you need to enjoy working with the public and be flexible to assist us when needed. Volunteers benefit from free travel on the West Somerset Railway outside of gala period. To qualify for free travel you will have to complete 12 duties per year.
